It's just a magnetic field.

Don't picture lighting bolts violently leaping through the air, and when you put your hand between the start and end points you get fried.

It is just a large magnet.

But if they want to make it larger, it will have drawbacks. The magnetic field produced could potentially mess with the electrical components they're trying to provide power to. It porbably won't be benficial for people with pacemakers, and then there's small everyday things, hell even cables in the walls. They could cause a back emf and hamper the electricity supplied to other electrical equipment.

The title is misleading. From what I can gather, it's just electromagnetic induction; a changing magnetic field producing the movement of electrons.

I bet you have an image in your head of sparks travelling through the air, but it's nothing like that, it's just a magnet.

Is a system which allows the N4G community to determine if they want a user to be able to post more or less on the site. For example, you have 5 bubbles - That means you can post 5 times.

Users can give users bubbles (or points towards them) by clicking the + sign, or take them away (remove points) by clicking the... Hey I just noticed it's a division symbol, but you get the idea.

It would have the z-axis, so it would more accurately track the location of your hand, and could possibly tell the dimensions of a table and such (so the pet doesn't walk on thin air).

It works pretty impressively as it is though

A solid 30 fps with other graphical updates than the 60fps, but anything would be wonderful

It's the Greed aspect of the game, though it is very strange.

Due to internet caps, but from what I hear it's scratches and stuff. Maybe that's why they're able to do it? As long as they don't show a ferrari hitting a wall and turning into pancake, but rather crumpling a bit and having some scratches they'll be okay? I think the problem between the manufacturers is that some know they've designed their cars to be safe when you drive them into a wall at 80km/hr, while others never even pondered the idea.

If you were tossing up between two ca...

The Divine Comedy is really long, interesting to read points from it though, Dante was creative.

This game is going to come down to level design, and design in general. If the art direction is well done (which it seems to be so far) it will be an interesting play.

But rather "playing space".

The only problem Natal will have with multiple people, is people walking in front of the player for long periods of time, and people standing at the same depth as the player (though this can be fixed with some good facial recognition and extrapolation).

Has anyone actually found a demonstration of it in the dark? They've talked about it so many times but they've never showcased it :/

It provides instantaneous (from what we've seen) 1:1 motion tracking. The only thing Natal has over the PS3 motion controller is the Z-Axis tracking of the body. Everything else Natal does, PS3 can also do.

Voice recognition? Check (it's software)
Face recognition? Check (it's software that's already available)

Aaaand..... I think that's about it?

Natal will have to be DIFFERENT if it wants to succeed. So far we've seen Eye Toy games with the added...

That it'll be called the "E-motion Controller" or something to that effect

Sony's issues were related to a single piece of software, from a developer that isn't first party, that was released over 2 years ago. Sorry if they missed checking each individual game and then took a little while to get out an appropriate fix.

It's because you said "only on PS3", by implication, stating that quality games are only on PS3. Quality games are on a multitude of consoles, and PCs.

Buttonmasher is a great site. Most "no name" gaming sites are better than those that are very popular.

The logic is that yellow = cheap, therefor people will be drawn to them. But it looks really ugly and actually turns many away.
